Science Programs Reauthorization -- Climate Science Initiatives

Lowenthal, D-Calif., amendment that would remove a provision in the bill that would require a Government Accountability Office report identifying certain overlapping climate science-related initiatives. It also would remove a provision that would prohibit the director of the Energy Department's Office of Science from approving new climate science-related initiatives without making a determination that such work is unique and not duplicative of work by other federal agencies.
