Methane Release Limitation Disapproval -- Motion to Proceed

McConnell, R-Ky., motion to proceed to the joint resolution that would nullify a Bureau of Land Management rule that requires oil and gas operators on public lands to take measures that decrease waste of natural gas. The rule requires these operators to reduce the practice of burning gas by adopting current technologies, to replace outdated equipment to minimize release of gas into the air and to periodically inspect their operations for leaks.
